WHICH RAFTING TRIP IS RIGHT FOR ME . . . .
(answers to commonly asked questions)
I have young children, can I take them rafting?
Most definitely, and our guides will pay special attention to our younger guests. The minimum age for Class II trips is 4 years of age and 6-10 years of age for Class III trips. All age requirements are variable with water levels and conditions which can only be determined the day before the trip.
How long are the trips?
All trips have set departure times and predicted return times posted in the trip descriptions. With any activity which depends on Mother Nature for propulsion, a number of variables come into play when we predict how long a trip will take. Please take this into consideration when planning activities upon your return from a rafting trip.
Where do we meet before the trip?
Most trips depart from our shop at the base of the gondola in Aspen. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the trip departure time. We can arrange to have you picked up at any of the major hotels in the Aspen/Snowmass area or at our Snowmass Village shop located in Gene Taylor's Sports on the mall (near the large clock tower).

What do I need to wear? On the river, the less worn the better. Nylon swim trunks, swim suits, river sandals or old tennis shoes are great for rafting. Try to stay away from anything cotton if possible. For those rare overcast or cool days we will provide fleece pullovers and splash gear at no additional charge. Wetsuits, splash gear and neoprene booties will be provided on Class IV and V trips due to constant immersion in the water. All gear is available for rent in case you didn't bring proper apparel. |

What else do I need to bring?
Little to nothing. Dry clothes for the ride home, sunscreen, and an adventurous attitude. All possessions are left on the shuttle vehicle and will be waiting for you at the end of the rafting trip. We recommend that you leave those good cameras behind - we have professional photographers staged on the river to capture your adventure on film.
What happens if it rains the day of my raft trip?
Fortunately, rafting is one of the few outdoor adventures that can be as much fun when it's raining as when it's clear. The combination of our wet weather gear and an adventurous attitude will ensure that you will still have an enjoyable day on the river.
What is your cancellation policy?
Any reservation not canceled or modified 24 hours prior to trip departure time will be charged 50% of full trip cost for each individual canceling. Cancellations received prior to 24 hours of trip departure time will not be penalized.
It is rare that Colorado Riff Raft will cancel a trip, but we reserve the right to cancel due to extreme weather, poor water conditions, or an insufficient number of reservations.

Colorado Riff Raft is an equal opportunity provider and operates under special use permit from the U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, White River National Forest and Arkansas headwaters Recreation Area.
